It was a different day out for Tuticorin people, especially for food
lovers, who reached the newly created Pearl City beach and tasted
different dishes of food on Sunday evening. Collector Ashish Kumar
presided over the silver jubilee programme, marking bifurcation of
Tuticorin district from Tirunelveli. It was hosted by Food Safety and
Drug Administration, Tuticorin. As many as 200 food items were kept
ready for the Tuticorin populace who enjoyed eating out. With 35 food
stalls, the venue under lights drew a good crowd that tasted spicy and
mouth-watering dishes.
