Janarthanam Shunmugavel Most of the points are right.But teh theatre was built in 1960 and not 1970.~Ulaganm sutrum Vaaliban` ofcourse was screened in Charles.It is also true MGR had a problem in releasing the movie, as he had quit DMK ( the then ruling party) at the time of releasing the movie.MGR could have given the movie to Charles theatre without an advance like Meenakshi theatre of Madurai paid.But for the owner of the theatre it was not the time of theatre being new and for that matter Mini Charles also was not constructed at that point of time.The description of the building and the names of classes are riight. Before Dukes,which in those days was Rs.1.33 there was Viscount @ Rs.1.09.
